Slide The program’s primary area of interest is to develop disease-resistant ʻōhiʻa seed orchards for Maui County to support future reforestation. By identifying trees with resistance to ROD, we can use natural breeding programs to grow more ROD-resistant ʻōhiʻa trees for future planting and ecosystem restoration.
